Learning Difficulties - Odd One Out

Children who find the aquisition of reading skills difficult often would benefit with more practice in visual discrimination patterns. The mechanics of reading include looking at patterns of letters that form words and some children with learning difficulties find this very difficult, especailly children with dyslexia.

This section has 30 worksheets , at three levels, to give children practice in visually discriminating between pictures, symbols, letter or words. In Level 1 they have to find the picture that is different from the others. Level 2 introduces letters and blends. The sequences in Level 3 have six words, taken from the high frequency or rhyming lists, and the children have to find two that are different from the other four.
