If you need an easy to use assessment for primary children then there is a Maths Number Test - levels 1-4. This has been widely used and found to be a good starting point with new children. Another useful resource is a Desk Top Times Table and Fractions Aid , shown below. The test and the Tables aid are only available for subscribers.
The Key Objectives are very useful for planning work , you can match the year group to the correct objectives. It also helps with differentiation because if you are working with SEN children who are one or two years behind then you can track back to see what objectives they might be capable of working on.
