Literacy - Upper KEY STAGE 2 ages 9-11 Top Steps Resources
There are a number of worksheets looking at a range of phonics and other Word and Sentence Level work. Of particular interest might be A Play for Two, there are four of them at the moment, one is free for you to try out. They are for the older KS2 or KS3 pupils and are ideal for two pupils or a pupil and adult to read together. They look at PSHE issues but also have word, sentence and text level backup work. Each play and follow-up worksheets can provide a week’s Literacy work. There are more of these planned for the future. The resources looking at report writing are suitable for the AQA unit LS8276 Writing Reports.
There are a number of phonics worksheets using medium to low frequnecy words. Words from the Grapheme Rhyming List in the Teachers' Resources section are used to create worksheets looking at rhyming patterns, such as Rhyme - ich, -itch .
